Poem #3

For all the times we tried and fail, my empty cup is pointed towards the sun.

Here lies, within, all the humanity I gathered through suffering,

All the strength I acquired while happiness filled my veins,

Everything I was, once, and I am not anymore.

Fighter for light, amidst the darkness, unconquered soul,

Eternal traveler, dreamer of the impossible, all my yesterdays,

Drip through my hands while I keep walking.

But I don’t dare to look back, too early to understand now.

We try to control all the outcomes, yet, life keeps on adapting,

It makes new paths, it goes around our fences, it breaks our walls,

And we are left, as we are, lost in the nothingness,

Life is that chaos, born from the illusions.

I was, once, now I am not. I am no one, I dropped my name.

All I am left is skin and bones, and I welcome the unknown,

Mosaics I built, with the shattered pieces, and I shine like the sun,

Proud of my scars and the humanity born with it.

All the emotions boil within me, until total peace is reached,

Silence is my friend, and soothes me until I surrender,

And I have surrendered all, empty pockets and filled soul,

I bow only to the sun. Life starts when it blinds me…
