Poem #2

Is not that the worlds dried out in my mouth,

Or that the thoughts ceased repeating your name,

Or that my heart stopped rushing when hearing your voice.

No, is not that my dreams stopped having your face.

And that my days grew silent without you.

No, is not even the realization that you are far away,

Is not that you stopped listening to my complains,

Or that you grew distant as new door opened for you.

No, is not that my love ceased or ran away,

Or that the night became bitter and lonely

Or that I held my dreams crushed on my hands,

when the premonition of the end, rushed the tears.

No, is not the end that destroyed the path,

Or that your lack of love drained all the visions I held,

Or that I saw you, with so many, with all, and yet with nothing.

Or that I lost the hope in you, in me, in us.

Somewhere in the chaos, was a yes hidden,

For you and me. Somewhere, but you lost the map,

And I, knowing the route, just passed by…
