Lord, I don’t ask much,
But if you allow to ask for something,
This is my love’s prayer.
I wish the sun enters his window every morning,
And illuminates those lovely sleepy eyes,
And let the little things fill him with joy.
I wish when he walks out that door,
The playful breeze entangles his curls,
And a smile is drawn on his face.
And as he walks around,
Allow him to smell the scent of flowers, dirt and leaves,
And freeze him for a second with old happy memories.
And if you could ease his pain, Lord,
Would you give me that pleasure?
Allow the blood in his veins boil with life.
I’ll drop my selfish ego along the way
And help him win all his battles, if only,
You allow me to see his smile over and over.
And please hide my tears, dry me out Lord,
make me immune to my own pain in his presence,
so I can ease his sorrows with my smile.
Allow him to enjoy the children’s happy giggles,
the playfulness of happy lover’s,
And barefoot walks on the grass,
And please Lord, I beg you,
Play for him the nature’s wonderful melodies,
Don’t ever allow the silence make a home inside his chest.
